Pêle-mêle pour Card Scrap & DIY - A card display for Card,Scrap & DIY
Hello Everyone,
To answer the Card, Scrap & DIY's March challenge, I've made a card display for all the cards I receive (best wishes, birthday or any other occasion).I first displayed them on my corkboard but it is south oriented and the colours of the cards are fading away.
I started displaying my card on the (long) windowsill of my craftroom. But they fell easily and the writing on the back faded away in the sun. Thus, I pinned them on a big piece of cardboard. This was quite effective but not a proper thing to do for a craftwoman. So, here's a diplaying frame which background was made with scrap of framing papers from old creations (nowadays, we have to first use what's already in our cupboards). I pulled a string in order to hang the cards with some mini-clothes pins (I have a lot of them left as I didn't use all I bought for Dom's Christmas calendar).
I cut the flowers in an orange paper following the pattern of the flowers I've made for the framing of the souvenir of a couple a friends' wedding. The pattern itself being from the invitation card.
Here is my displaying frame with all the cards I could hang to it. I'll need another one anyway, or another idea to keep all my cards...
Well, then the green and orange background cannot be seen at all, I agree. But my aim was to find a way to display my cards and protect them from the sun. Therefore, I'm very happy with this displaying frame. And you, what do you think of it?
A bientôt pour de nouvelles réalisations / See you soon for new creations.
Bises et prenez soin de vous ! / Cheers and take care!
