Nouveau rangement de cuisine - New kitchen organization tip

Le défi de juin du blog Card, Scrap & DIY nous demandait d'utiliser une paille dans notre création ou bien de détourner un objet ou un emballage.

The challenge of June on the blog Card, Scrap & DIY asked us to use straws in our creations or to upcycle an object or a packaging.

Vous vous souvenez de mon rangement pour mes films alimentaires ? J'ai voulu faire quelque chose de similaire pour ranger mes couteaux à pain. En effet, ces couteaux étaient auparavant rangés avec tous mes couteaux de cuisine mais le tiroir déborde. J'ai eu l'idée de les ranger avec le pain et la planche à pain. Un seul tiroir à ouvrir pour tout avoir d'un coup. Je suis partie d'un sur-emballage d'un coffret de petits pots de confitures.

You remember the box I recycled to store my food films? I wanted to make something similar to store my bread knives. They were first stored with all the other knives in a big drawer but this was full. So I thought about keeping the knives with the bread and the breadbord. All in one and unique drawer. It all started with a packaging around a box of small jam pots.

Le format est idéal. J'ai ajouté un fond en carton de calendrier avec deux couches de feutrine (rouge pour le fun mais on ne la verra pas) pour ne pas abîmer la pointe des couteaux. L'habillage extérieur est toujours réalisé dans ce papier rouge un peu cartonné.

The perfect size. I added a bottom made out of an old calendar on which I glued two layers of red felt to protect the tip of the knives. Red for the fun as the bottom cannot be seen, actually. The outside of the box is cover in this thick red paper.

J'ai collé ma boîte ainsi faite contre l'intérieur de la façade du tiroir, de la même façon que je l'avais fait pour la boîte pour films alimentaires.

I glued the box against the inside of the drawer front (as I did with the box for the food films).

Je n'ai pas fait de décoration en scrap car c'est dans un tiroir bas, on ne voit cette boîte que du dessus, ça n'aurait pas grand intérêt. Et voilà mon tiroir "à pain" enfin "autonome" !

I didn't make any more decoration as it is placed inside a drawer. The box can be seen only from above, decorating it would have no interest.

Je suis très contente de ce nouveau rangement qui s'avère très pratique au quotidien : gain de place et gain de temps car tout est dans le même tiroir. Qu'en pensez-vous ?

I'm very happy with this new storage that proves to be very useful: more room in my other drawer and I save time as all I need to cut bread is in one and unique place. What do you think of it?
